Hi There –
When I first started to cycle back in 2007 I had no idea what it took to get started. Muscle conditioning, nutrition, equipment and supplements were all new to me. I knew I wanted to stop the constant pounding with the toll running was taking on my body. It took me about 2 years to fully understand all the inputs from various locations to study and train through trial and error and get educated on how to really enjoy cycling.
My website/blog www.cyclingtolive.com is designed to help anyone at any age get cycling quickly and enjoy it for a lifetime.
Now at 67 years old I’m fitter than 90% of the population! I ride 100-150 miles/week usually 30-40 miles/ride keeping my heart rate in a “training zone” of 140-150 beats/minute. This may sound good, but, believe me, there are people out there that put me to shame with their numbers! We’ll talk about professional riders from time to time……….but those people are fittest people on the planet and the Tour de France is 3 weeks of human punishment!
You don’t have to aspire to do what I do, however, I can get you started with the right equipment, nutrition, supplements and training ideas to help you stay healthy.
Be a subscriber and I’ll link you to all of the above plus nutritional eating and lifestyle changes all with a humorous twist.
Ask me questions. If I don’t know the answer I’ll find it out and share it with the cycling community. I don’t profess to know everything about cycling, but, I know what it takes to get started and I know a bit of the things to gravitate to or things to avoid.
Talking about gravitational pull…………gravity is evil and has been my worst enemy since I’ve started cycling!! I’ve learned to not fear any hill now. I’ll help you not fear hills as we work through training ideas.
Until the next time……Ride on!
